Colors of the Summer

Summer Colors

Though it’s been a tepid 60 degrees the past few days, summer is almost here. After a gloomy spring I’m sure we’re all ready to indulge in our favorite summer activities—whether it be going to the beach with friends, lounging by the pool with a drink and a good book, or just relaxing at home blasting your AC. Maybe the warm weather will inspire you to start a new project, like possibly redecorating your home? If you feel like you’re ready to bring your space into 2023, here are some of the top interior design trends of the season.

The pastel colors of spring are projected to stay in season for the foreseeable future. Pastels are great if you want to cultivate a lively, fun space while still keeping things light.  A dusty rose or pale yellow would give you that summer warmth without overpowering your decor. Pastels provide a muted but not neutral base for bold design choices, like a gallery or accent wall.

It’s impossible to think about summer without thinking of the bright blue of the ocean. Richer blue colors are also on trend this season. Say goodbye to the pale teals that have donned the walls of every beach house for the past few decades, and say hello to brighter, less nautical hues. Pantone’s Electric Blue Lemonade is one of the colors of the summer (it also sounds like it would be a really good drink, right?).

A natural, earthy look is also on the rise. Stone (or stone-like wall finishes) can breathe new life into your home—but stone is expensive, right? Well, we’ve got you covered there. Our super versatile SET plaster material can be used to mimic any number of raw materials; from wood grain to natural stone!
